Measured entry
8bitcn-game-cta1
A retro game-themed CTA that contrasts a boss problem with a power-up solution and ends in a linked action. It ships as a Next.js registry block with custom wrappers around shadcn badge, button, and card primitives, plus a cn utility, Tailwind classes, Radix support, and a stylesheet that imports the Press Start font.

What the harness recorded
BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 1.10s error during build: [vite]: Rollup failed to resolve import "class-variance-authority" from "<sandbox>re-eee8c34780a9/src/components/ui/8bit/badge.tsx".
Verdict
Do not publish this as a working drop-in. The verified build cannot resolve the base shadcn badge imported by its retro wrapper, so it never mounts. It needs a shadcn-style setup and its required base primitives installed before it can be evaluated in the browser.
Use it if
- Your product already uses Next.js and a shadcn component structure.
- A playful game metaphor fits the offer and brand voice.
- You want editable problem, solution, and action copy in a compact comparison layout.
Skip it if
- You need a framework-neutral or dependency-light CTA.
- Your design system does not include the shadcn badge, button, and card primitives.
- A pixel-game treatment or externally loaded font conflicts with your brand or font policy.
- You need a component that passes the verified build without source repair.
Install
| Declared dependencies | radix-ui, clsx, tailwind-merge |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
For a non-shadcn project, add compatible badge, button, and card primitives at the expected aliases; provide the cn helper and alias configuration; install class-variance-authority and Radix support; adapt Next.js Link if needed; configure the referenced Tailwind theme utilities; and include the retro stylesheet and font policy.
