Measured entry
hextaui-task-board
A client-side Kanban task board shipped as a shadcn registry component. It renders task cards in configurable status columns, supports native drag and drop plus menu-based moves, and delegates persistence to callbacks. It depends on React, Lucide icons, shadcn-style UI primitives, Tailwind theme classes, the shared utility helper, and Task types from the companion task-list component.

What the harness recorded
BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 1m 43s error during build: [vite:load-fallback] Could not load <sandbox>/src/lib/utils (imported by src/cut/blocks/tasks/task-board.tsx): ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '<sandbox>/src/lib/utils'
Verdict
A credible starting point for shadcn-based task tooling: it builds, mounts, and passes the automated accessibility scan in the configured harness. The narrow layout overflows and interaction logic is intentionally thin. It needs a shadcn-style setup and is not a standalone install.
Use it if
- You need a drop-in task board inside an existing shadcn and Tailwind application.
- Your data layer can supply tasks and implement the move, create, select, update, and delete callbacks.
- Horizontal scrolling on narrow screens is acceptable for preserving side-by-side columns.
Skip it if
- You need a compact mobile layout without horizontal overflow.
- You need robust touch or keyboard reordering rather than native desktop drag and drop.
- Bundle weight is tightly constrained and your app does not already ship the required primitives.
- You want a self-contained board with persistence, dialogs, and task editing already implemented.
Install
| Declared dependencies | @radix-ui/react-avatar, @radix-ui/react-slot, @radix-ui/react-dropdown-menu, @radix-ui/react-checkbox, @radix-ui/react-select, @radix-ui/react-separator |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
In a non-shadcn project, add the configured path alias and shared class-name utility, Tailwind theme tokens, Lucide React, the avatar, badge, button, card, and dropdown-menu primitives, their Radix dependencies, and the companion task-list types. Mark the integration as client-side and adapt the registry import paths to your source tree.
