Measured entry
hextaui-task-create
A client-side React card for creating tasks, shipped as a shadcn registry block. It manages title, description, status, priority, due date, tags, and optional project and assignee choices, then passes the result to an async callback. It composes HextaUI field, input, select, card, button, and separator primitives, Radix-based dependencies, Lucide icons, and shared task types.

What the harness recorded
BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 1m 50s error during build: [vite:load-fallback] Could not load <sandbox>/src/lib/utils (imported by src/components/ui/field.tsx): ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '<sandbox>/src/lib/utils'
Verdict
A practical starting form with useful conditional fields and a clean callback boundary, but it is not ready to ship unchanged because verified accessibility defects need correction. It also needs a shadcn-style setup; the bare project cannot resolve the expected shared utility module.
Use it if
- You need a ready-made task form inside an existing shadcn-style React application.
- Your task model already uses compatible status and priority values.
- You want optional project and assignee controls driven by arrays supplied by the parent.
Skip it if
- You need an accessible release without first fixing the unnamed icon button and unsupported ARIA usage.
- Your application does not use shadcn-style aliases, theme tokens, utility classes, and shared UI primitives.
- You need schema validation, field-level error messages, or built-in persistence rather than a callback-only form.
- Your task taxonomy differs substantially from the fixed status and priority choices.
Install
| Declared dependencies | @radix-ui/react-slot, @radix-ui/react-label, @radix-ui/react-separator, @radix-ui/react-select, @radix-ui/react-avatar, @radix-ui/react-checkbox, @radix-ui/react-dropdown-menu |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
In a non-shadcn project, add the referenced UI primitives and their Radix packages, Lucide React, the utility-class styling and theme tokens, the configured at-sign path alias, and the shared class-name helper expected under the library utilities path. Also provide compatible task status and priority types or replace those imports with local definitions.
