kokonut-ai-text-loading
text-effectdark-futuristicmotion on file
A client-side React loading label that cycles through configurable status messages with a vertical swap and moving gradient. It ships as a shadcn registry component, uses Motion for animation, Tailwind utility classes for layout and color, and a local `cn` class-merging helper.

BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 2m 3s error during build: [vite:load-fallback] Could not load <sandbox>/src/lib/utils (imported by src/cut/components/kokonutui/ai-text-loading.tsx): ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '<sandbox>/src/lib/utils'
Verdict
A focused, easy-to-customize status effect for AI-style waiting states, but Motion is a sizable tradeoff for such a small element and reduced-motion behavior needs work. It needs a shadcn-style setup because the bare project cannot resolve its shared class utility.
Use it if
- You need a compact visual status for AI generation, analysis, or other indeterminate work.
- Your React app already uses Tailwind and Motion, so the component fits the existing stack.
- You want to supply your own short status sequence and control how often the message changes.
Skip it if
- You need loading progress that communicates completion or remaining work.
- Your interface must avoid continuous motion or respect reduced-motion preferences without additional changes.
- Your messages are long, localized, or user-generated, since the no-wrap layout can become awkward.
- Adding Motion is too much dependency weight for a single animated label.
Install
| Declared dependencies | motion |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
In a non-shadcn project, install Motion, configure Tailwind for the component file, provide a `cn` class-merging helper at the expected import alias or change that import, and ensure the component runs on the client. Add a reduced-motion treatment if your product requires one.
