kokonut-tweet-card

background-effectdark-futuristicmotion on file

A glassy tweet and reply card shipped as a shadcn registry React component. It uses Next.js Link, Tailwind utility classes, a local cn helper, Lucide's verification icon, and remote avatar images. Content, authors, link target, reply, theme styling, and an extra class can be supplied through props.

Verdict

A polished, focused social card for compatible Next.js stacks, but it is not drop-in everywhere. It needs a shadcn-style setup, overflows on narrow screens, and should have its nested interaction and avatar fallback cleaned up before production use.

Use it if

  • You need a compact social proof or testimonial card with an optional reply.
  • Your app already uses Next.js, Tailwind, and the usual shadcn utility conventions.
  • You can supply stable avatar URLs and a destination for the card-wide link.

Skip it if

  • The card must fit narrow phone layouts without changing its fixed minimum width.
  • You need accessible nested actions, since the internal button sits inside the card-wide link.
  • You want a framework-neutral component with no Next.js or shadcn-style project assumptions.
  • Remote avatar failures or blocked image hosts are unacceptable without adding fallbacks.

In a non-shadcn project, add Lucide React and Tailwind support, provide a cn class-merging utility at the expected alias, and configure that alias. Use Next.js Link or replace it with a standard anchor, allow the remote avatar hosts, and remove or revise the fixed minimum width for small screens.
