Measured entry
magicui-noise-texture
background-effectskeuomorphism
A client-side React component that renders an SVG fractal-noise overlay with adjustable grain, detail, contrast, and opacity. It ships as a shadcn registry TSX file and relies on React, Tailwind utility classes, the project path alias, and a cn class-merging helper.

What the harness recorded
BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 4.30s error during build: [vite:load-fallback] Could not load <sandbox>/src/lib/utils (imported by src/cut/noise-texture.tsx): ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '<sandbox>/src/lib/utils'
Verdict
A focused, configurable texture primitive that builds and mounts cleanly in its intended environment. It needs a shadcn-style setup as supplied because the bare project cannot resolve its utility import.
Use it if
- You need a configurable grain layer over cards, panels, or full-page backgrounds.
- Your React app already uses Tailwind and the usual shadcn utility conventions.
- You want an inline SVG texture without maintaining an image asset.
Skip it if
- Your project avoids client components or inline SVG filters.
- You need a photographic or art-directed texture rather than procedural monochrome grain.
- You do not want to adopt or translate Tailwind classes and the cn helper.
Install
| Declared dependencies | none declared |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
In a non-shadcn project, add Tailwind with the referenced utility classes, configure the project path alias, and provide a cn class-merging helper. Alternatively, replace the alias import and class utilities with your own styling approach.
