Measured entry
8bitcn-login-form
A static eight-bit login card shipped as a shadcn registry block. It composes retro wrappers around the base shadcn button, card, input, and label, and relies on the cn helper, Tailwind utilities, class variance helpers, Radix primitives, and a stylesheet that imports a Google font.

What the harness recorded
BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 882ms error during build: [vite]: Rollup failed to resolve import "class-variance-authority" from "<sandbox>re-dbe08faa85d9/src/components/ui/8bit/label.tsx".
Verdict
Do not publish this as a working drop-in. The build fails because its retro button imports a base shadcn button that is not supplied, while the bare build also lacks the cn utility. It needs a shadcn-style setup, so teams seeking a verified standalone form should avoid it until those dependencies are packaged or documented.
Use it if
- Your app already has the expected shadcn primitives and alias layout, and you want a retro shell for an authentication flow.
- You are prepared to connect form submission, password recovery, account creation, and provider login behavior yourself.
Skip it if
- You need a drop-in login flow with validation, authentication handlers, and working destination links.
- Your project does not use shadcn conventions and you do not want to add its utility and primitive layers.
- Your deployment forbids runtime font requests to Google.
- You require a component that passes the supplied build before integration.
Install
| Declared dependencies | radix-ui, clsx, tailwind-merge |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
In a non-shadcn project, add Tailwind and the expected at-sign path alias, provide a cn class-merging helper, install compatible base button, card, input, and label primitives, add class-variance-authority and the required Radix packages, and include the retro stylesheet or replace its external font import. Then wire all form actions and links to real application behavior.
