Verdict

A sound, focused tri-state checkbox example with clean label association and reliable rendering. It needs a shadcn-style setup because the bare project cannot resolve the expected utility module and registry imports.

Use it if

  • You need a select-all control that can represent a partially selected collection.
  • Your app already uses shadcn-style registry primitives, path aliases, and theme tokens.
  • You want the label wired to the control and the indeterminate state managed explicitly in React.

Skip it if

  • You need a standalone checkbox that can be copied into an unconfigured React project.
  • Your design system does not use Tailwind utility classes or shadcn-style theme tokens.
  • You only need a normal binary checkbox and do not want controlled state in the example component.
