Verdict

A practical, accessible starting point for compact multi-select cards, with clean mounting and responsive behavior in the prepared harness. It needs a shadcn-style setup because the bare project cannot resolve the shared utility imported by the Label primitive.

Use it if

  • You need a small set of independent choices presented as larger click targets.
  • Your app already uses shadcn-style Checkbox and Label primitives with Tailwind theme tokens.
  • You want icon cues alongside short option labels in a compact grid.

Skip it if

  • The choices are mutually exclusive, since this uses checkboxes rather than radios.
  • You need controlled values, validation, or form submission wiring without adapting the demo state.
  • Your option labels are long or frequently translated, since the compact card grid may need layout changes.
  • You do not want to carry Radix UI, Lucide, and shadcn-style utility infrastructure for a small selector.
