originui-input-08

inputunclassified

A compact disabled email-field example delivered as a shadcn registry component. It composes Origin UI's Input and Radix-backed Label, uses React useId to associate them, and relies on Tailwind theme classes plus the project's cn utility and import aliases.

Verdict

A dependable but very narrow disabled-field example that builds, mounts, and stays clean across the tested layouts. It needs a shadcn-style setup, so it is best treated as a registry snippet rather than a drop-in component for a bare React app.

Use it if

  • You need a labeled disabled email field that clearly communicates an unavailable value.
  • Your app already follows shadcn conventions and has the shared Input and Label primitives.
  • You want a small reference for correctly associating a generated field id with its label.

Skip it if

  • You need an editable field, validation messaging, or form-state integration out of the box.
  • Your design system does not use Tailwind theme tokens or a cn class-merging helper.
  • Adding a Radix dependency for a simple label is not justified in your stack.

In a non-shadcn project, add the Origin UI Input and Label primitives, Radix UI, a cn class-merging utility, Tailwind styles with the referenced theme tokens, and compatible import aliases. Otherwise, replace the aliases and utility calls with local equivalents.
