originui-input-10

inputunclassified

A labeled email input with a decorative mail icon fixed at the trailing edge. It ships as a shadcn registry component plus companion Input and Label primitives, and depends on React, Tailwind utility and theme classes, Lucide icons, Radix UI, the project import alias, and a cn class helper.

What the harness recorded

BARE BUILD

✗ Build failed in 2.59s

Verdict

A sound, narrowly scoped email-field treatment that builds, mounts, stays within its viewport, and exposes a proper label. It needs a shadcn-style setup, since the bare project cannot resolve the shared utility imported by its UI primitives.

Use it if

  • You need a compact email field whose purpose is reinforced by a trailing icon.
  • Your app already uses shadcn conventions, Tailwind theme tokens, and the expected component aliases.
  • You want an associated label and a decorative icon that stays out of the accessibility tree.

Skip it if

  • Your design system already wraps inputs and labels in a different form-field abstraction.
  • You do not want to add Radix UI and Lucide for a small input treatment.
  • Your project does not use Tailwind or shadcn aliases and you do not want to translate the styling and imports.
  • You need validation messages, descriptions, or form-state wiring included in the component.

In a non-shadcn project, add the Input and Label primitives, Radix UI, Lucide React, Tailwind with the referenced theme tokens, an alias matching the registry imports, and a cn utility. Otherwise, rewrite the imports and class names for your own component and styling system.
