Verdict

A tidy choice for HTTPS-only URL entry, with a real label and no measured accessibility or overflow problems. It does not work as a bare drop-in and needs a shadcn-style setup, including the expected utility helper and UI primitives.

Use it if

  • You collect web addresses where every accepted value should use HTTPS.
  • You already have shadcn-style Input and Label primitives plus matching theme tokens.
  • You want the protocol shown as a non-editable visual prefix while users enter only the host or path.

Skip it if
