ruixen-animated-link

scroll-effectunclassifiedmotion on file

A React and TypeScript anchor component shipped as a shadcn registry item. It uses Tailwind utility classes for three hover-driven underline directions and an optional inline SVG arrow, and imports the usual cn helper backed by clsx and tailwind-merge through the project alias.

Verdict

A tidy, narrowly scoped link effect with sensible reduced-motion handling and no provider requirement. It needs a shadcn-style setup as supplied, since the bare project cannot resolve its cn utility alias. Add explicit focus styling before treating the animation as an interaction cue.

Use it if

  • You want a small text-link treatment with left, right, or center underline motion.
  • Your design already uses Tailwind and a shadcn-style cn utility.
  • You want an optional decorative arrow without adding an icon package.

Skip it if

  • Your project does not use Tailwind and you do not want to translate the utility classes.
  • You need the same visual treatment on keyboard focus, because the supplied animation is hover-driven.
  • You need a router-specific link abstraction rather than a native anchor.

In a non-shadcn project, add Tailwind, create a cn helper using clsx and tailwind-merge, configure the project alias used by the import, and ensure the foreground theme utility exists. Alternatively, replace the cn import and theme token with local equivalents.
