shadcn-block-calendar-04

calendarminimal-flat

A client-side React block for selecting a date range in one month. It ships as a shadcn registry TSX file with local selection state and wraps the shared shadcn Calendar component. That primitive brings in react-day-picker, date-fns, Radix Slot, Tailwind styling, and the usual cn utility.

BARE BUILD

Verdict

A solid, focused range-selection example for an existing shadcn codebase. It builds and mounts in the configured harness, but the bare mount fails because it needs a shadcn-style setup, including the shared utility module and calendar primitive.

Use it if

  • You need an inline date-range picker with a preselected interval.
  • Your app already uses shadcn components, Tailwind theme tokens, and path aliases.
  • You want selection state kept locally but easy to connect to form or filter state.

Skip it if

  • You need a single-date picker, time selection, or timezone-aware scheduling.
  • You want a standalone package that works without copying shadcn support files.
  • You need a popover field rather than an always-visible calendar.

In a non-shadcn project, add the Calendar primitive, react-day-picker, date-fns, and Radix Slot. Provide the cn helper under the expected utility path, configure the import alias, and bring over the Tailwind theme tokens and component styles. Rewrite aliases if your project uses different paths.
