hextaui-calendar

calendarminimal-flat

A client-side calendar built around React DayPicker, delivered as a shadcn registry component. It uses date-fns, Lucide icons, HextaUI's Button and button variants, a local cn helper, and Tailwind theme tokens rather than shipping as a self-contained widget.

Verdict

A solid choice inside a current shadcn-style codebase, with clean DayPicker extension points and no measured runtime or accessibility failures. It needs a shadcn-style setup and does not mount as a bare standalone component.

Use it if

  • You already use shadcn-style registry components and want a DayPicker calendar that matches the same button and theme conventions.
  • You need single-date or range selection with overridable DayPicker props, formatters, class names, and internal components.
  • You want a responsive calendar that can show multiple months without viewport overflow.

Skip it if

  • Your app does not use Tailwind utilities, shadcn theme tokens, or a compatible Button implementation.
  • You need a small dependency footprint and do not otherwise use React DayPicker or date-fns.
  • You want a complete date-input field with parsing, validation, popover behavior, and form wiring included.

In a non-shadcn project, add React DayPicker, date-fns, Lucide React, and the Radix Slot dependency used by the Button. Provide a compatible Button with buttonVariants, a cn utility, Tailwind processing, and the expected theme tokens and utility conventions; then update the aliased imports to local paths.
