Measured entry
neobrutalism-drawer
A neobrutalist slide-in drawer built as a TypeScript client component and shipped through a shadcn registry. It wraps Vaul primitives for the drawer behavior, declares Radix Dialog alongside Vaul, and relies on a local cn helper, Tailwind state utilities, path aliases, and theme tokens for its borders, colors, typography, and motion.

What the harness recorded
BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 51.70s error during build: [vite:load-fallback] Could not load <sandbox>/src/lib/utils (imported by src/cut/components/ui/drawer.tsx): ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '<sandbox>/src/lib/utils'
Verdict
A credible choice for a neobrutalist shadcn codebase: it builds, mounts, and exposes a practical composable API. It does not run bare and needs a shadcn-style setup, so teams outside that ecosystem should expect integration work rather than a drop-in component.
Use it if
- Your product needs a swipeable modal drawer that can open from any screen edge.
- Your interface already uses shadcn conventions and neobrutalist theme tokens.
- You want composable trigger, close, header, footer, title, and description parts instead of a fixed panel layout.
Skip it if
- Your project does not use Tailwind and you do not want to translate utility classes into another styling system.
- You need a lightweight static sidebar rather than a modal, animated drawer with gesture behavior.
- Your design system cannot accommodate the component's heavy borders, bold typography, and neobrutalist visual treatment.
Install
| Declared dependencies | vaul, @radix-ui/react-dialog |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
A non-shadcn project must add Vaul and Radix Dialog, provide the cn class-merging helper and matching import alias, configure Tailwind state and animation utilities, define the referenced color, radius, and font theme tokens, and place the file behind a React client boundary.
