Measured entry
neobrutalism-sheet
A client-side React sheet built as a thin, styled wrapper around Radix Dialog. It ships as shadcn registry source rather than a packaged widget, uses Lucide for the close icon, and expects a local cn helper plus Tailwind utilities, animation classes, aliases, and neobrutalist theme tokens.

What the harness recorded
BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 35.75s error during build: [vite:load-fallback] Could not load <sandbox>/src/lib/utils (imported by src/cut/components/ui/sheet.tsx): ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '<sandbox>/src/lib/utils'
Verdict
A solid choice for teams already using this registry's neobrutalist system: it builds, mounts, and behaves cleanly across the tested layouts. It needs a shadcn-style setup, since the bare project cannot resolve its local utility import.
Use it if
- You need an accessible off-canvas panel with controlled or trigger-driven state.
- Your interface already uses the matching neobrutalist borders, typography, and color tokens.
- You want selectable top, bottom, left, and right placement while retaining direct source ownership.
Skip it if
- You need a drop-in package that works without project-level aliases, utilities, and theme configuration.
- Your product uses a restrained visual system and the heavy borders or branded typography would require substantial restyling.
- You want a persistent sidebar rather than a modal surface with an overlay and focus management.
Install
| Declared dependencies | @radix-ui/react-dialog |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
In a non-shadcn project, add Radix Dialog and Lucide React, create the cn class-merging helper, configure the local import alias, and supply the Tailwind state animations and theme tokens used for backgrounds, borders, rings, fonts, and rounded corners.
