originui-comp-110

tabsminimal-flat

A controlled, single-select toggle group for choosing left, center, or right alignment. It ships as a client-side React registry component and pulls in Origin UI's toggle-group and toggle layers, which wrap Radix UI and rely on variant helpers, a class-merging utility, and utility-class styling.

Verdict

A focused alignment control with controlled state, responsive sizing, and no observed accessibility or overflow issues. It is a good fit inside an Origin UI stack, but it needs a shadcn-style setup and will not mount as a bare component.

Use it if

  • You need a compact alignment picker that always keeps one option selected.
  • Your app already uses the shadcn registry structure and utility-class conventions.
  • You want Radix UI keyboard and selection behavior behind an understated outlined control.

Skip it if

  • You need users to select several options at once without changing the component logic.
  • You need a native form field whose value submits without extra wiring.
  • Your design system does not use Tailwind-style utility classes or shadcn path aliases.

In a non-shadcn project, add React, Radix UI, class-variance-authority, the shared toggle variants, a class-merging helper, matching utility-class styles, and replace the registry path aliases with local imports.
