Verdict

A sound choice inside an existing shadcn codebase: it builds, mounts, stays contained across the tested layouts, and exposes Radix behavior through familiar local styling hooks. It needs a shadcn-style setup, because the bare source cannot resolve the shared class utility and Toggle dependency.

Use it if

  • You need an accessible single-choice or multi-choice control for views, filters, formatting, or display modes.
  • Your app already uses shadcn conventions and you want group-level variants and sizing to flow into every item.
  • You want the component source in your repository so its states and styling can be adapted locally.

Skip it if

  • You need a plain form select or radio group that remains compact when option labels are long.
  • Your design system does not use Tailwind utilities, shadcn theme tokens, or copied component source.
  • You want an isolated package with no dependency on a shared Toggle component and class utility.
