originui-comp-60

textareaminimal-flat

A compact required-message field composed from Origin UI's shadcn registry Label and Textarea primitives. It ships as a React component, uses useId to connect the label to the control, and relies on Tailwind utility classes, the registry's path aliases and styling helpers, plus the declared Radix dependency.

Verdict

A sound, accessible starting point for a required textarea, but it is intentionally basic. It builds and mounts in the prepared harness, while a bare project fails because the shared utility import is absent. It needs a shadcn-style setup or equivalent local plumbing.

Use it if

  • You need a labeled required textarea with the accessibility wiring already in place.
  • Your app already follows shadcn conventions and can reuse its Label and Textarea primitives.
  • You want a small form-field example that is easy to adapt with validation or helper text.

Skip it if

  • Your form needs character counting, auto-resizing, validation feedback, or submission behavior out of the box.
  • You do not use Tailwind or shadcn-style aliases and do not want to recreate their supporting utilities and theme tokens.
  • You need a standalone textarea primitive rather than a fixed required-field composition.

In a non-shadcn project, add compatible Label and Textarea components, the shared class-name utility, the configured import alias, Tailwind styles and theme tokens, and the declared Radix package. Replace the registry import paths with paths used by your app.
