Measured entry
originui-comp-67
A compact disabled-textarea example shipped as an Origin UI registry component. It composes the registry Label and Textarea, links them with React useId, and relies on radix-ui for the label plus the shared cn helper, utility classes, and theme tokens used by the shadcn-style setup.

What the harness recorded
BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 3.30s error during build: [vite:load-fallback] Could not load <sandbox>/src/lib/utils (imported by src/components/ui/textarea.tsx): ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '<sandbox>/src/lib/utils'
Verdict
A sound, accessible disabled-state snippet for teams already using Origin UI conventions. It builds and mounts in the prepared harness, but the bare mount fails because it needs a shadcn-style setup, especially the shared utility module and registry import structure.
Use it if
- You need a consistent disabled comment field with an associated label.
- Your app already uses the Origin UI registry structure and its theme tokens.
- You want a small reference for disabled styling and label wiring.
Skip it if
- Users must be able to type into the field, since this example is always disabled.
- Your project does not use utility classes or compatible theme tokens.
- You want a standalone native textarea without a Radix-backed label dependency.
Install
| Declared dependencies | radix-ui |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
In a non-shadcn project, add radix-ui, provide a cn class-merging helper, configure the expected import aliases or rewrite them, and supply the utility CSS plus color and state tokens referenced by the Label and Textarea classes.
