Measured entry
ruixen-event-scheduler
calendarunclassifiedmotion on file
A compact client-side scheduler for adding, sorting, and removing events within a single day. It ships as a shadcn registry TypeScript component, keeps its own local event state, uses Motion for list transitions, and imports the shadcn cn utility through the project alias.

What the harness recorded
BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 37.22s error during build: [vite:load-fallback] Could not load <sandbox>/src/lib/utils (imported by src/cut/event-scheduler.tsx): ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '<sandbox>/src/lib/utils'
Verdict
A focused agenda input that builds, mounts, and adapts cleanly in the prepared harness. It is best treated as a polished starting point, not a full calendar. It needs a shadcn-style setup because the bare project cannot resolve its shared utility import.
Use it if
- You need a lightweight same-day agenda with inline event creation.
- Your product already uses React, Tailwind utility classes, and shadcn project conventions.
- You can persist additions and removals through the supplied callbacks.
Skip it if
- You need multi-day scheduling, date selection, time zones, recurring events, or conflict handling.
- You need externally controlled event state that updates after the component mounts.
- You cannot accept a fixed daytime range and quarter-hour choices.
- You want a dependency-free widget or cannot include browser audio behavior.
Install
| Declared dependencies | motion |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
In a non-shadcn project, install Motion, add a compatible cn class-merging helper, configure the project alias used by that helper import, and ensure Tailwind provides the referenced neutral, dark-mode, and transition utilities. Render it as a client component in frameworks that distinguish server and client code.
