Verdict

A polished choice for a decorative, lightweight event calendar in an existing design-system app. It mounts cleanly there, but the narrow-layout overflow and internally managed event state limit broader use. It needs a shadcn-style setup rather than dropping into a bare React project.

Use it if

  • You want a compact month view with animated navigation and a tactile paper-stack treatment.
  • You need simple in-component event entry with callbacks for syncing additions and removals.
  • Your app already uses shadcn conventions, Tailwind theme classes, and Motion.

Skip it if

  • You need a calendar that fits narrow mobile layouts without adapting its fixed-width day grid.
  • You need scheduling features such as time slots, ranges, recurring events, or drag and drop.
  • You want event state to stay controlled by the parent after the initial render.
