Measured entry
tripled-animated-card-stack-shadcnui
hover-effectminimal-flatmotion on file
A client-side React card stack that layers shadcn Card primitives and lifts each panel on pointer hover or keyboard focus. It ships as a registry component, uses Tailwind theme classes, and depends on Framer Motion for entrance, ambient, and interaction animation with reduced-motion support.

What the harness recorded
BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 51.98s error during build: [vite:load-fallback] Could not load <sandbox>/src/lib/utils (imported by src/components/ui/card.tsx): ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '<sandbox>/src/lib/utils'
Verdict
A polished, accessible interaction for small promotional or feature snippets, with keyboard focus and reduced-motion handling already considered. It builds and mounts in the configured harness, but it needs a shadcn-style setup and carries a notable animation-library cost for a narrow effect.
Use it if
- You need a compact stack that reveals short supporting content on hover or keyboard focus.
- Your app already uses shadcn Card primitives, Tailwind theme tokens, and the standard path alias.
- Framer Motion is already part of the application or its added runtime weight is acceptable.
Skip it if
- Each card must expose substantial content or controls without overlap.
- You want the same reveal behavior on touch, where hover does not provide a dependable interaction cue.
- You need a dependency-light CSS-only effect.
- Your project does not use Tailwind or shadcn conventions and you do not want to recreate their styling infrastructure.
Install
| Declared dependencies | framer-motion, react |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
In a non-shadcn project, add React and Framer Motion, provide compatible Card, CardHeader, CardTitle, CardDescription, and CardContent primitives, configure the path alias, add the shared class-name utility expected by the Card primitive, and map the Tailwind color, border, ring, shadow, and backdrop classes to your theme. Preserve the client-component boundary when using a server-rendered React framework.
