tripled-hover-expand-card-shadcnui

hover-effectminimal-flatmotion on file

A client-side React presentation card that lifts on hover or keyboard focus and respects reduced-motion preferences. It ships as a shadcn registry component, imports the local shadcn Badge, and relies on Framer Motion, React, Tailwind theme tokens, and the supporting Radix UI stack.

Verdict

A tidy, accessible motion sample for an existing shadcn codebase, but it is closer to styled starter code than a reusable card API. It needs a shadcn-style setup to build and mount, and its animation dependency is substantial for such a narrow effect.

Use it if

  • You need a compact feature or category card whose main feedback is hover and focus elevation.
  • Your app already uses shadcn conventions, Tailwind theme tokens, and Framer Motion.
  • You want motion that automatically backs off for users who prefer reduced motion.

Skip it if

  • Your interface is primarily touch-driven, where the hover treatment adds little value.
  • You need a card with a built-in link, button, image API, or configurable content rather than fixed demo markup.
  • You are avoiding Framer Motion or do not want to adopt shadcn aliases and theme tokens for one card.

In a non-shadcn project, add React, Framer Motion, Radix UI, Tailwind theme tokens, the local Badge component, the class-name utility used by Badge, and matching path aliases. Replace the fixed copy or expose props before treating it as a reusable component.
