Measured entry
originui-comp-113
A compact split action for a pinned state, pairing a chevron-only options control with a labeled pin button. It ships as a shadcn registry component, composes the registry's local Button primitive, uses Lucide icons and Tailwind utility classes, and relies on the project's button theming and Radix-backed UI setup.

What the harness recorded
BARE BUILD
✗ Build failed in 11.84s error during build: [vite:load-fallback] Could not load <sandbox>/src/lib/utils (imported by src/components/ui/button.tsx): ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '<sandbox>/src/lib/utils'
Verdict
A tidy presentational starting point for a split pin action, with clean harness rendering and no observed accessibility findings. It is not a finished interaction, and it needs a shadcn-style setup because the bare project cannot resolve the Button utility plumbing.
Use it if
- You need a compact primary action with a neighboring trigger for related options.
- Your app already uses shadcn-style Button primitives, Tailwind theme tokens, and Lucide icons.
- You want a small presentational shell and will connect both controls to application behavior yourself.
Skip it if
- You need a working dropdown, because the chevron control does not include menu content or interaction logic.
- You need an accessible toggle that exposes the pinned state, because the labeled control has no pressed-state semantics.
- Your design system does not use shadcn-style local primitives or Tailwind utilities and you do not want to adapt them.
Install
| Declared dependencies | radix-ui |
|---|---|
| Missing on install | none |
| Bare install | fails once the shadcn-style helpers are removed, so it needs that setup |
| Provider | no provider required in the harness |
In a non-shadcn project, add or replace the local Button primitive, configure the import alias, provide the class-merging helper expected at src/lib/utils, and supply equivalent Tailwind theme utilities. Also install the declared Radix dependency and Lucide icons, then add menu and click behavior.
