originui-comp-123

buttonminimal-flat

A client-side React disclosure trigger that toggles between Show more and Show less, swaps Lucide chevrons, and exposes expanded state to assistive technology. It ships as a shadcn registry component built on a local Button, Tailwind utility classes, React state, Lucide icons, and the Radix-based button dependency.

Verdict

A sound, focused disclosure trigger with clean runtime and accessibility checks, but it is only the control, not the expandable panel. It needs a shadcn-style setup because the bare project cannot resolve the local utility used by its Button dependency.

Use it if

  • You already use a shadcn-style Button and need a compact trigger for expandable content.
  • You want the trigger label, icon, and expanded accessibility state kept in sync.
  • You can connect the supplied content reference to a real expandable region in your application.

Skip it if

  • You need a complete disclosure that also renders and hides its controlled content.
  • Your project does not use Tailwind utilities or shadcn-style theme tokens.
  • You need a server-only control without client-side React state or hydration.

In a non-shadcn project, add the local class-name utility and configure the matching import alias, Tailwind utilities, and theme tokens. Also provide the registry Button plus its class-variance and Radix dependencies, install Lucide React, and update the component imports to your project paths. Connect the content reference to the region the button controls.
