Verdict

A solid fit for an existing shadcn navigation surface: it built, mounted, stayed within its viewport, and produced no audited accessibility violations. It needs a shadcn-style setup, and the registry understates installation because the source imports Lucide even though that package is not declared there.

Use it if

  • You need an expandable navigation tree with active-item styling and optional links.
  • Your app already uses shadcn conventions, Tailwind theme tokens, and Framer Motion.
  • You want recursive nesting with configurable sizing, indentation, icons, and initial expansion.

Skip it if

  • You need a dependency-light list and do not otherwise use Framer Motion.
  • You need a turnkey package for a plain React project without shadcn aliases and local UI primitives.
  • You need advanced tree behavior such as keyboard traversal, selection modes, drag and drop, or virtualization.
